Does any know what future expansions are planned? Is there going to be one for each of the existing army list books for the table top game?

The question now is after Swords and Scimitars they continue the books order or they change it??? and of course, they have the new book for renaissence battles but i think that this need a new game... or maybe not.

But first Swords and Scimitars need see light

Last I heard they were going to release the expansions in the same order as the TT books. That's what they have been doing so far.

How do we find out what order the TT books came out in?

Field of Glory
Rise of Rome
Immortal Fire
Storm of Arrows
Swords & scimitars
Legions Triumphant
Eternal Empire
Decline & Fall
Wolves from the Sea
Swifter than Eagles
Oath of Fealty
Empires of the Dragon
Blood & Gold
Lost Scrolls
----------------------------------
(I think)

Though whether Slith chooses to look at the sales-figures, and convert the most popular first I couldn't say.
Personally, I'd like to see Wolves from the Sea.....(Hint, hint!)

CheerfullyInsane

Bad news: 21 consecutive attack die-rolls featuring only 1s & 2s.
Good news: I never seem to have problems finding opponents.

I think CheerfullyInsane is right. Have a look at this:

Interesting, thanks!

Hmm, so 4 more expansions to go before we get to my two favourites: Dark Ages Europe and the Ancient Near East! (hint hint)

I strongly suggest publishing Lost Scrolls as soon as possible, as it covers the early romans and all the Italy Conquest period.

I hope they are working on digital versions of Renaissance and maybe even Napoleonic. It's an awfull long time to wait for those if all ancient and medieval lists are to be published first! I'm all for diversity and like to try warfare from any period :D

The renaissance rules for the table top will be released soon, later this month, so it might be a few months or so before we see or hear any rumors about a digital version of FOG R. I am not sure if they want to see how the sales go before committing to doing a digital version or if they will just jump on it, which would be nice. I belive that at launch there will be the rules set and one or two of the army list books. I have seen four army list books mentioned on Slitherines site, so the game might wait a bit till the TT stuff gets out but we shall see.

Hi Hawklord,

Here is a link to the FOG TT website:http://www.fieldofglory.com/catalogue/
As my fellow FOGgers say the lists should go in the same order. S & S has some cool Ottoman units, so I will purchase it when it comes out.

BTW, your real name isn't Bob Calvert per chance? If so, Captain Lockheed and the Star-fighters is one of my favorite albums.

Cheers, Claymore

Robert Calvert died of a heart attack in August 1988. So, unless it's a ghost, it can't be him..

I do kinda hope the order isnt set in stone.....
Of course it is just personal preference but I like the order up thru Legions triumphant but after that .... 2 Expansions in a row focusing on Byzantium? A long way to go to get to early/middle Middle ages (oath of fealty!)

Decline and Fall is the only expansion that should be focused on Byzantine armies (and enemies). Eternal Empire is focused on the Ottomans and their enemies, which does include most of the later Byzantine armies (post 4th Crusade/1204 AD). Swords and Scimitars includes the Komnemnan Byzantine army (roughly 1076-1204 AD) which is contemporaneous with the Crusades.

I stand corrected, although was the Ottoman Empire ever refered to as the Eternal Emprire??

The Army List book titles were chosen by Osprey, not Slitherine, I believe. There were complaints about most of them when they were first announced, especially about Decline and Fall since this list really covers the high points of Byzantine military history rather than the decline and fall . Personally, I always thought that Immortal Fire should have been Eternal Fire. Would have served the Persian Barbarians right

I am not the ghost of Bob Calvert but I am a bit of a Hawkwind fan on the side hence my forum name here and else where

Also can I put in request for the book with lots of Vikings in it!
