Got my set in Scotland today as well as first army list book. Both are superb and a credit to Nik and Richard.

In another place there is a debate - are the rules hardback or softcover?

Does that mean that in the UK pre-ordered sets are inbound?

And we are all envious of you... I always thought it was the Irish that were supposed to be lucky not the Scots

We Scots just know how to dig around for what we want. Luck did not come into it.

So not much point in using the pre-order facility via this site then, is it possible to get a refund so I can get them from Caliver?!!!

Maybe someone can explain what was the point in any pre orders if Caliver Books can get them out before anyone.

They are supposed to wait until release date. We of course would not break the trust of our distributors, but I will be taking this up

Must admit that my original order was placed with Amazon but I cancelled it when I knew I could get the rules etc more quickly.
I am now a little embarrassed by mentioning that I had the rules as I just assumed things were moving more quickly than normal and that the release date was being brought forward.
I am sure JDM will make sure this does not happen with the 2nd book of lists.

I pre-ordered mine and then last week found that it was available in my home town (Melbourne), Australia.
Although I'm going to wait for Slitherine to send it out, I did have a peek at my friends set especially to see if my Swedes can keep their Lapps with Reindeer (DBR Lt Cav (F))

. Sadley they're not in the TYW lists so I might have to wait for the Vasa list

BTW; the official release date (10 Sep 2010) also happens to be my birthday so I'm expecting a nice (belated) present in the mail.

Only 9 days to go, hopefully mine will arrive before the 18th so I can take it on holiday!
Perhaps a bag of smarties for every pre-ordered set?!!!
