I was playing my turn in a multiplayer game when my computer shut down automatically do some windows updates.!?!?!? What do I need to do to resume the game where it was? The replay was done and I was several moves in with my forces. I haven't tried anything yet because I didn't want to screw it up. Is there an autosave?
TIA
PirateJock...sorry for the delay...I was having a one hell of a turn too!

Unfortunately the game can handle that so you'll probably have to do your turn again unless you chose save & exit before it shut down?

Sheesh...gonna try it now. If it indeed starts at the beginning of my turn again that seems like an exploit that some unscrupulous players might take advantage of. BTW, I am having a BLAST with multiplay even if I am having my hat handed to me in every game.

Well it did indeed start at the beginning of my turn again. Is there some way to change that? Like possibly it forcing the player to forfeit the remainder of his turn or maybe some kind of autosave. Really seems like a bad exploit.

I went through and did my same moves in the very same order much to the same effect. The only difference was last turn I took my sherman up the hill on your right side of map was ambushed by your flamethrower etc up there and survived. I did it again to be fair and didnt survive. Also, last time in town I rushed one of your halftracks and took it out in closecombat. This time my attack was repulsed. Also on last turn you unsuccessfully ambushed one of my tanks in the woods to your left. I went ahead and moved my tank there again only to be fair to you but they didnt ambush this time so they remain hidden. Of course I didnt area fire at them because I didnt 'know' they were there this time so they remain hidden.
So all in all, you got off better during that turn but it was my fault anyways. Sorry for the way this happened but I wanted to let you know that I am an honest player, almost to a fault.
shall we continue?

I think it's important to clarify that we can track whether players reload turns, and will take prompt action against anyone we deem to be cheating or exploiting. We are committed to a fair and fun online environment.
Cheers

Hi mo reb
No problem I'm more than happy to continue. This is only my second MP game - the other one is at about the same stage - so I'm not precious about winning or losing, I'm more interested in learning the game and playing against honest and helpful people. Thanks for letting me know. Who would have thought that flamethrower would get someone

I will log in a bit later and take my next tentative steps.
EDIT: meant to say I had the same thing - sort of - happen this afternoon; my laptop powered down just as I was typing in my comment at the end of a turn. Luckily a quick scramble for the power lead and plugging it in saved the turn - it was still sitting there when windows resumed.
