I love it I hate it

I am finding myself totally loving this game, the chess like quality where skill actually matters and your RTS gamer style means nothing.
I like trying to uncover the hidden 'secrets' of each map, the best approaches the best spots for ambushes. The best way to use units.
Then I find myself playing a turn and its $^#@$%W@ bloddy useless Panther tanks!!! Friggin over rated piece of junk. Or WTF? I was sure this spot was in cover damn it!! Or you're kidding right, he shot my Stuka down again? That's three in a row %#$#@$% And the same could likely be said of Allied gear. I thought these damn things were meant for ambushes (M-10), they can't even shoot up squat (unless it's someone else's and they are shooting at my damn Panther).
But man do I love having mortars. Handy little buggers. Losing your mortar is worse than losing a star attraction tank.
Anti tank guns are nice too. I plan to start using Panthers as anti tank guns with roofs from now on. Maybe they will finally live long enough to kill something.
I have found there is no such thing as good enough cover. The only way to protect infantry it seems is with additional infantry.
