I am in the process of trying to put together a list for a test game and it struck me that mob really shouldn't cost the same as normal troops. As far as I can see from the current point values mob cost the same as similarly armed light, medium or heavy foot.

Granted mob generally are unarmoured and without significant weapon POA's so they are very cheap anyway but if you consider fighting mob they are actually very poor value for points.

Of course the real reason for asking is the faint hope I can scrabble a few more points together to upgrade or expand a 'real' BG.

True, but at 1 point maybe they would be too effective filler. We need to think about this.

Actually I think they may be a touch too effective at 2 points but that is a different issue.

I am probably more concerned about the way the various Hd(S) from DBM end up being treated.

We'll put the Hd(S) puzzle on the fix list James. Bear with us as it won't end up top of the list until we have dealt with a few other areas I suspect, but we will get there.

As mentioned before we are going to make sure there is as little rebasing as possible and as you know one of the Authors has a mass of Ikko-Ikki in his boxes.......still itching to take on the might of Spartacus as some point.
