I was just about to post a whingeing comment about a silly feature of the game when i realised it is my own stupid fault ! I originally started the desert campaign but after 5 or 6 scenarios changed to see what the D-Day ones were like. They are quite tough and it was not long before i lost a round. Not wanting to play it again immediately, i thought i would go back to the desert and carry on where i left off there. Trouble was it would`nt let me, i have to start over. I just realised that i used the same savegame for both theatres and inadvertantly saved over the desert campaign. BE WARNED ! Use seperate save games for differant theatres ! Why no Autosaves?

There should be no problem with going back and continuing - it saves the progress on each campaign seperately.
Are you saying you completed a number of missions, exited the game, but then went back and missions you had completed were greyed out?
Cheers

What's weird is that you can also press ESC and save a state in the main menu. (I haven't tried to save but just to load). I don't find any use for that.
Loading form that sceen is ok but not saving as the game remembers missions that you unlock automatically.
