Slitherine

I downloaded the GS mod and the latest patch (1.6) putting them inside the directory where I had installed the Ceaw game.
When I tried to launch the game I see the Slitherine logo and the subsequesnt screen but after that it crashes to desktop.
I'm unable to read the error msg appearing in a dos window because it disappears too quickly.
Please help!

Just in case my problem is not going to be resolved, one question: the version currently sold in the slitherine shop is the gold version (i.e. 1.12) ?

I'm fairly certain it's 1.12 MH and not 1.12.1 but not 100%. I'll ask Iain to be sure.

If you can start CEAW - GS via DOS prompt using the method described in viewtopic.php?p=161832#161832
you should then be able to capture any error messages.

Also, did you install GS using the installer? If so, which version.

I'm fairly sure that are folks who have the Matrix version running GS. If would be nice though, for any that are to confirm this.

Just to save time I bought the slitherine version of the game and everything works fine now.

I have the Matrix Version and have successfully run GS since it first came out. The trick is to not use the Slitherine installer, and install the mod manually. BTW, Ronnie do you need to publish the manual files needed to upgrade from 1.05b (1.05 with all the mini-patches) to 1.06 in GS? Or are we complete with the 1.05b version?

To essentially get what's in the installer first (manually) apply:

The version will show as v1.05 but it's the same as the GS v1.06 installer version but without the version change. Confusing, I know but these were beta pre-releases.

The version we sell is 1.12. 1.12.1 only adds a new launcher screen to let you know about news/updates so is not needed for the game at all.
