OK, I know you must get a load of people wanting to beta test Art of War, and yes, I'm another.

However...just a thought on the off chance...

A friend and I have been playing Warhammer for a few years, and have only recently started to look into playing a historic wargame. This lead us to DBM. We have read the rules and tracked down a local club and watched a few games in play.

What struck me, is that if you are wanting to make Art of War a bit more commercially widespread than DBM, then you are going to want to mkae sure that newcomers to the wargaming do not need several games coaching just to get a grip on the basic rules, as seems to be the case with DBM.

My friend and I are really the kind of people that you want to make sure can buy the rules, buy some minis and play the game, something we certainly could not have done with DBM. If all of your beta testers are people with lots of wargaming experiance, then maybe this is an angle you'd like to think about?

OK, in reality I expect you've thought about it lots, but I play the lottery every week, so these odds are not going to put me off trying!

Thanks - we do have Warhamer and Warmaster players involved in testing and we are aiming to ensure the rules do not have a large learning curve.
