In 480BC the Carthaginians launched an expedition to take the city of Himera in Sicilia and restore the tyrant Terillus to power. He had been deposed three years earlier by Theron of Akragas, who was allied with King Gelon of Syracuse. The Syracusans and their allies launched an attack on the Carthaginians siege camps and after heavy fighting routed their enemies. The Carthaginian king was killed during the fighting.

As far as I know, Carthage was always a republic (at least during the punic wars), and therefore had no king. Thanks for the scenario mate.

They did have powerful "Kings" at this time (and a Council of Elders), but with the death of Bomilcar in 308BC the title became honorary with no real power.
