Crazyg Axis vs Aryaman Allies AAr(No Aryaman allowed)

Hi everyone

After a rather short run the last time, we decided to give it another go. This time i play Axis my favourite....

Tactics: Overall aggressive as always, that is the style i like to play. To be honest i don´t know that much about my opponent except what i learned from the other AAr, so it will be hard to plot any strategy from the beginning to last through the game. I started the game with an early blitz of France, have tried that one time before and it worked well this time also. This is were the AAr starts, fall of France. Since France fell pretty early 1940 februari i have time to undertake just about anything. My original plan is to take Holland Denmark first then march against spain to take Gibraltar and let out the italian Fleet in to the atlantic. That way i can get a good concentration with italian fleets combined with German fleet to rule the sea for a long time. I can also concentrate German industry fully to the eastern front without risk loosing upper hand in atlantic.
But now i am not so sure since operation seelöwe is doable even if i haven´t planned for it. So i will decide next turn what the future will hold....

Research: For the time being i have maxed out German research 2 on each except Naval, focus on dogfight, organisation and armour on tank. Italian first is gonna be naval then industry or organisation. That is why i want to free the italian fleet, becuase i won´t build any German naval units.

No matter what operation i undertake now, the aim is to gain power to the eastern front except if i go for seelöwe then it will take a lot of resources....

Also, is it ever worth to purchase another strategical bomber to raid London and engage in an costly airwar over Brittain, anyone tried this? Please let me know if you can keep the Britt cities on zero and above all is it worth it?

The german high command is planning future operations, have still not yet come to any conclusions, but they all agree on one thing. They must act quicky to keep initiative and pressure on the allies....

I did the same in the Mare Nostrum AAR, it is a fun strategy to follow. Especially now with a Feb40 fall of France you can really get going. Would start the war on Spain ASAP, you actually don't need that many corps to conquer them. The important thing is to go for Suez at the same time, stretching the Brits as much as possible. After all, without Suez, Gibraltar is of only limited value. But if you manage to close the Med then all Italians are freed up for offensive ops (some have to garrison Spain though:)). Get some sub tech for the Italians and slip 4-6 subs into the Atlantic and Britain will be starved.

Nice to see that you read my AAr, thanks for your input

I have decided to stick with my orgiingal plan, will also take your suggestion about afrika in consideration, because i manged to scare Aryaman so he probably think and invasion of brittain is at hand. Wich means that Home fleet will not be able to interfere in Med and any reinforcement that sail towards Med i will see.....

After heavy debating in Berlin about operations, german high command will continue as planned. Take spain to free the italian navy. A very enthusastic commander named Erwin Rommel came with a suggestion to also put pressure in afrika. Nothing decided yet though.....

What should the afrika kor consist of? I was thinking 2 German fighters, 1 tac, 1 tank and 2 inf, also Rommel as commander. It looks like i will have tech superiority against RAF. I will cut of any reinforcement from brittain and challange the RN in MED with italian 2 subs, 2 BB and 1 DD. When gibraltar falls i can reinforce probably with another Tac.[/img]

German rail capacity is working overtime....redeploying forces. Keeping some at the coast to convince that Seelion is still and option.

If i can capture and hold the Persian oilfield, i can really upgrade the german army with alot of tanks and airpower and keep em running without any problems....

I think the question is if you can capture and hold the Persian oilfield without using so much oil and PPs that Barbarossa must necessarily fall far short. That's very difficult to do if your opponent puts any effort into stopping you in North Africa and the Middle East.

You are absolutely right....the thing is if i am not mistaken, he can max have 2 fighters, 1 mech, 1 tank ans some inf. If i counter that and can keep his RN busy i should have a fair chance in defeating him. with minimal resources spent. It feels like i can break the back of brittish before Barbarossa and maybe capture the canal before US enters the war.

I get that i am in really good shape....like you say it is a gamble.

After this turn i went on vacation and used another computer so i don´t have any shots for you. I am really sorry for that....but as you will see, not that much happened. Spain fell and Afrika build up is complete.

I hope you have understanding and continue to read and enjoy my AAr against Ayraman.....
