Landing Craft

Does it have landing craft or boats - to model seaborne invasions or river crossing s ?

There aren't any in the game currently, but I don't see why you couldn't create a water-moving transport unit.

Sounds like a good game - but please put a hot seat mode in ... pretty please ...

With PBEM in - which is totally awesome - I assume one could do hot-seat. Although it may be
warm seat by the time the email gets back.. time for a tea or beer.

PBEM won't actually be real PBEM, it won't use the EMail system. Instead it uses special Slitherine's servers, like the ones for Field of Glory PC game.
So in order to play against yourself on the same computer, you'll need 2 accounts, meaning 2 serials, meaning 2 copies of the game.
