Campaign is stuck

I am replaying the Desert Campaign in 1.1. Although I have completed the Desert Convoy scenario and reached all objectives the campaign is stuck. It does not move beyond this scenario. Bug, or am I missing something?

Not sure - can explain exactly which missions you played before and which you completed and what it is preventing you from doing.

Restarted the Desert Campaign, now I am stuck in the Siege scenario. I really enjoy this addictive game, but I do not want to repeat the same scenarios over and over again.

I assume you have won the Siege scenario after restarting the campaign? Starting a new campaign means clearing all your progress.

BTW, I hate campaigns that need to be unlocked. I find that too restrictive, and I don't see the sense of it.

Yes, I have won the Siege scenario. Right after winning it I progress to the...Siege scenario. Hm.

We'll test here and try to repeat

We've tested this on a clean install with a new campaign and it is working fine so it seems to be some odd hiccup. It could be related to playing missions out of order, which you cant do anymore. All I can suggest is you delete your My Doc\My Games\BBCBA folder and start a new game. This will behave like a clean installation.

I assume you've not modified any of your files?

I'm having the same issue. I played the missions out of order, so I suppose that was the issue.

Have restarted campaign, got to last mission, completed and acknowledged, but no unlock for next campaign. Deleted folder found in my docs, as suggested. No progress. Campaign seems to be stuck.

Hmmm - I will check it out in the morning. It's very strange.

Are all these issues when ending the desert campaign?

Cheers

Pip

Yes, I haven't been able to end the desert campaign. I played through it from beginning to end, and now the mission selecter firstly went back to the last mission against the tiger and now defaults back to the capture the fort mission.

The other campaigns are much harder and if you play them first you'll get wasted. We don;t want new players to accidentally play the wrong campaign and think its too tough and give up.

What we could do is unlock them once you complete the first mission in the previous campaign? At least this forces you to start the campaigns in order but not to finish them.

I have deleted all saves in the Save folder, replayed the Desert Campaign, and I am stuck AGAIN in the Siege scenario (BTW, it's siege, not seige, as on the splash screen). Something wrong with my install?
Are you familiar with the movie Groundhog Day?

We'll investigate. If you want to get to the other missions go to My Docs\My Games\BBCBA\user.txt and add the following line
*********** [See message below]

This will let you play the locked campaigns. The lock still appears but you can click them anyway.

A better way (which doesn't open up other issues related to playing in debug mode) is to open the My Docs\My Games\BBCBA\options.txt file and set CAMPAIGNS to 255.

Please do this rather than Iain's method, which I will now redact ;)

Cheers

Thanks guys, I noticed that debug mode gives away the concealed enemy postitions. Will try pip's method. Am enjoying the Normandy campaign very much. Scouts are a god-send. Now i don't have to reduce an area to rubble in order to advance safely! :) One thing happened to me on the Rearguard mission for the Desert campaign on the second playthrough tho. No tanks advanced, only the CV33's, infantry and transports. Anyone else notice this? My first playthrough I only passed this mission by the skin of my teeth but the second time was a doddle! Oh, another thing I noticed was the second or third mission with the Canadians on the Normandy campaign, the Cromwell tank is all one word on the description title for the purchase screen pre-mission.

Campaigns 1234 unlocks all campaigns in my install.
