Editor - is there a "snap" function

Hi
spending more time on the map/scenario editor
i notice i can freely place units anywhere .. including homes, buidlings, and other structures, yet the types of terrain tiles are limited to an individual square.
this sets up a problem in that during the game, units may only go square by square... yet in the editor i can make a map that has a structure that may be centered on the intersection point of 4 squares, or, may cross tile lines, at any distance.......

would be nice to be able to add on to the elevation of a hill tile in the map editor... i see that i can add a hill and it is higher, but would be nice to make a hill 3 or 4 higher than the surrounding land...
great game so far....... 1.1 is going well
