Hi
spending more time on the map/scenario editor

i notice i can freely place units anywhere .. including homes, buidlings, and other structures, yet the types of terrain tiles are limited to an individual square.

this sets up a problem in that during the game, units may only go square by square... yet in the editor i can make a map that has a structure that may be centered on the intersection point of 4 squares, or, may cross tile lines, at any distance.......

would be nice to be able to add on to the elevation of a hill tile in the map editor... i see that i can add a hill and it is higher, but would be nice to make a hill 3 or 4 higher than the surrounding land...

great game so far....... 1.1 is going well

The editor is by design very flexible, you can certainly place some things oddly wrt the tile edges, but sometimes you want to. I'm not certain what a snap function would do - put ever object in the center of the tile?

We have kept hills to a single level because it caused all kinds of issues with LOS hill logic, and with being able to see units because of the view angle.

Glad you're having fun though!

Cheers
