Hi everyone,

We decided to try out something different, rather than a normal AAR report and took a video of us playing the game.

We both explain our moves, the choices we make, our tactical decisions and a bit about Field of Glory as we go along.

The first three videos are up and can be seen at:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpFnpX7bOwk (video 1)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evjccUCtNhg (video 2)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H28M3kevx0A (video 3)

I apologise in advance for the sloppy camera work - this was our first attempt at this kind of thing and we learned a lot from the initial experience. The videos will improve as we continue

It was also my first time editing video, so I was still getting the hang of the video editing software.

Let me have your feedback on what you think.

Thanks,

Ill be honest.... at first I was sceptical, Ive never found wargaming to be a good spectator sport!

But I found the videos more interesting than I expected.... nice to see others approach to gaming and the explanations of the rules I think will help a newcomer a lot....

If I was pushed to offer critical feedback:

1. Leave the camera covering the whole table, the battle looks grander from a distance than close up...especially with unpainted figs....

2. Maybe combine more than one move per episode, only explaining rules that are happening there and then rather than might happen in the future.....

3. get the next episodes up! I want to see what happens next!

cheers jon

Many, many thanks for your feedback.

I agree with you on all points - We need to 'script' the video a bit better and find a good vantage point for the camera.

As it is, it is more of a video diary of a wargame. We will be improving it as we go.

We actually continue the game tomorrow (Sunday), so even I don't know what happens next until the dice hit the table :)

You have put the cart before the horse. Paint you armies and get some terrain.
