So... this is going to be one of *those* games, then?

Uh... yeah. Having just gained access to the 1.0 beta; I'm having a quick look through the included Campaign missions, and as far as I can tell, you only ever get to play as the Allies? That is... just not right. I mean; maybe I've missed something, but I only saw missions as either the British or the Americans. I want to experience every faction, without having to resort to multiplayer or the Editor.
Out of 30 missions, surely some of those could have been seen from the perspective of the Germans or, hell, even the Italians. Really, Slitherine -
it's okay. I don't think it's going to turn us all into raging Nazis.

Because Axis campaigns are not available yet, does not mean they will not be made available in the near future.

In the first version of Panzer General, you could only play as Axis IIRC. In the first version of Civil War General you could only play the campaign as a confederate. I don't think there is any alterior motive.
OK!

No. LOL
Nobody knows Manuel from Fawlty Towers.

P.S.
I`m Dutch BTW, but at The Lordz Games Studio we are designing the scenario`s, so I cannot confirm nor deny Axis campaigns are in the making, just hinting Slitherine is well aware of the need of some proper Axis gameplay.

To be perfectly honest, this is actually going to factor heavily into my decision about whether or not to buy this game. I really hope this gets added, even if only as DLC...

Also, I would be staggered if there aren't Axis POV campaigns being created by the community almost immediately.
Cheers

Uh... yeah, that's all well and good, I'm sure - but I hate having to rely on unofficial stuff, no offense to modders everywhere. Besides, I'll miss out on the cool comic book-style descriptions before each mission, and so on, so... no.
If you want to sell me this game, I'm afraid that one's just not good enough.

Wait... I just saw this in the "Features" -section on the game's main page:
Control British, US, Polish, Canadian, Italian & German forces in 3 epic campaigns covering more than 30 varied battles.
I mean, it quite clearly states- literally - that Axis forces will be controllable
in the Campaign. Might want to delete that bit from the Features list, then?
