If you charge a BG of impact foot already in combat do they still get their Impact Foot POA for charging. so for intsance

Does the IF already engaged with the Cavalry, get the bonus too?

If I take the situation correctly (and I might not) then you only fight the impact for the troops that have charged and the troops in contact with them - you wouldn't figh an impact combat against the Cavalry who are already in contact.

And yes you still count the impact foot ++ even if you are already in combat.

Dave is correct. Rather than think of it as 'they are charging' think of it as 'it is an impact combat', and use impact POAs. It usually doesn't matter who's bases actually moved (the guys who didn't are assumed to countercharge where appropriate, you just don't move them). So in this case they would both be on a +2; no net advantage.

The only time it does matter is when the POA factor says "Unless charging x" or "if not charging", etc. This is usually foot vs shock mounted. For example; impact foot vs steady or disrupted lance armed cavalry - who are shock mounted by definition. If the IF charge, they get no POA and the lancers get a +1 for the lance. So the impact foot are better off waiting for the cavalry to charge them, when both will get a +1, so no net POA.
