DAG games allowing advantage to be given to one side.

I upgraded to 1.2.8 with no problems. I already had Rise of Rome installaed when I did this. On Saturday, I added Storm of Arrows. The first thing I noticed is that the shortcut to play FOG now says Storm of Arrows. When I click on the Play button, it takes me to the regular FOG screen, which says version 1.2.8 in the corner. When I hit the update button it says I have the latest version.
I have been playing DAG games against the AI to get used to new armies. I believe (unless I am dreaming) that before I added Storm of Arrows, I could play DAG games against the AI and on the initial screen, I had the option of granting advantage to the AI army. This has now disappeared both for Storm and Rise of Rome. I can shoose my own DAG army and choose an AI army and also choose terrain preference. The next thing I am allowed to do to proceed to the initiative determination.
Another strange thing is that now the shortcut says Storm of Arrows and when I hit the update button on this shortcut, I receice an error message. I am running Windows 7. Once again, if I hit play it takes me to the regular FOG screen and allows me to play any historical games, as well as set up terrain. When I choose a historical game, a screen does show up to give the AI army a terrain advantage. This seems odd in itself, as the terrain should already be set up in an historical game.
Any comments would be appreciated!
