Not accepting passwords.

Seem to have another problem in that I can not play against an opponent who has set a password. The game computer will not accept the password, "it's wrong" or equivalent. This might be something to do with the error message I sent. Started downloading and installing beta version of Immortal Fire, without reading all notes. Mentions something about stopping PBEM. Anyway I closed it all before agreeing on yes to finish installation. That is right at the end after serial number etc. I have reinstalled 1.28, checked on updates in menu of FOG and I am upto date.
Need some help, have tried 3 times entering different passwords and not accepted.

Did you half install the beta - I'm not clear what you're saying?
We need the exact error message you receive.
If it says wrong password maybe you are entering the wrong password

I had nearly installed the beta version but stopped or cancelled it right at the end. Have sent and received messages from other players who could not retrieve my password nor I theirs. There is no error message just the same old message that comes up if you have not typed in the correct password.
So there is a problem. I don't think I can make myself any clearer. People can not accept my passwords, I can not accept theirs.

It's a pretty wierd bug to have. Have you tried uninstalling FoG entirely, and also deleting the FOG registry directory (in case there is anything odd in there from the partial install - as custom stuff won't tend to get removed. I am 99% certain it all gets done at the end, but just trying to cover every base). Also delete the FOG program files directory for the same reason.
You say "another" problem - I must have missed your first one, what was it briefly in case there is a connection.
Cheers
Pip

Cancelling part way through installation could do all sorts of nasty stuff so reinstall the 1.2.8 patch over the top and if you still have odd errors try a full install. You know passwords are case sensitive?

Thanks for your help.
For some strange reason it now works. I and 3 other players were having problems so no idea what happened.
How is it possible to delete any armies you have calculated and saved games.
On the scenario editor how do you make a general Inspired or Troop or ally. Also Ptolemy Greek army camels are worth 7 pts. In Tigranes and Brutus etc armies you can have camels with Arab ally and they are worth 10 pts
