Errors in 1.28 release

OK, I've just started to try an use the new release - here's some errors I've picked up in the 1st few seconds....

On the accept challenge screen the 'unpassworded' (invents a new verb :lol: ) challenges are listed 1st, as per update. However, when I accept one the list remains the same, but the padlock icons all change sequence, so you can't tell which games are passworded and which aren't.

Because of the above error, I accepted what I thought was an 'unpassworded' game from KeithMartinSmith. It then prompted me for a password (no surprise, the list was wrong). I then press the cancel button and nothing happens! I'm forced to press the Accept Challenge button to force the system to tell me I have the wrong game. I'd expect the cancel button to simply cancel the acceptance of the challenge.

More later.... :wink:

OK update...

Having accepted another game (DAG 500pts vs Romans) I look in 'My Turn' list and the new game is merely listed as "Digital Army Generator Game". All my other games list the armies. Now, I know I haven't started playing, so it doesn't know my army, but I'd expect it to list my opponents army. If I had accepted several games then when going to 'My Turn' I wouldn't be able to tell which game is which unless I could remember which person had which army - unlikely with my memory.... especially if there is a delay between accepting and playing!

Double Moves seem to be bugged. Here's a screenshot of a starting position. I've selected the leftmost of myCats - all looks OK.

I move a couple of Cats (which themselves are not within 5 hexes) and then reselect the leftmost Cat - and now it can't double move!

They can't double move because they aren't within command radius of the general anymore.

The order which you move your leaders will be critical now!

Move leaders last. :)

You can also....move everything within range of leader...then move leader...then move everything within range of leader :)

I was wondering about why some could double move and some not as well. It would be nice if when they added a rule, or did a major update, that they also updated the rules. I looked in the manual for "double move" after loading v 1.28, and every other form of "move" rule, but there is nothing. The download notes have an abbreviated explanation of double move, but nothing that refers to being in command. Am I missing something?

Doh! :oops:

My apologies to Slitherine - I guess I should try to remember all the rule changes! :lol:

Well, the other 2 errors are real errors at least :wink: Unless someone can explain otherwise and embarrass me further :lol:

Thanks for reporting these bugs. The first one's recent, and the second one's been around for a while I think. They should be fixed in the next version.

Could please look into the following army lists errors?

* Medieval Castilian:

- There are two drilled protected average Hermandad Spearmen. I think one should be poor.

- The MF unprotected Navarrese Javelinmen unit image has only 2 figures.

- Navarrese allies: the MAA are average when mounted, and remain average when dismounted. Shouldn't they be superior when dismounted, as in the main Navarrese list?

- Navarrese is misspelled as Navaresse

* Both German lists:

- The unprotected handgunners have a 0-0 limit.

(Note that these and other army lists errors were reported in this thread: viewtopic.php?t=16611 )

I believe that defending gentle hills does not prevent impetuous charges, only defending steep hills (because they are difficult terrain).

could be this but they say that solve MF charging when they dont have chance of victory :wink:
