Changing facing

I have noticed since the 1.2.6 update that when I move a drilled unit (not next to an enemy) on the majority of occasions I am not allowed to change facing. Previously this was always allowed. Has fouled up setting lines etc. Could someone more knowledgeable than I explain, please. This pertains to all types of drilled units.

IIRC, with drilled troops you can only change face at the end of the movement if you moved in the direction of the unit's forward arc.

With undrilled troops, you either move or change facing.

I likly dont know the full facing rules but for drilled infantry: if you move fwrd into the 2 frontal hexes (whether you move fwrd one or two) you will be allowe to change face any direction you want... Howver if you move any direction out of your front arc, you will not be allowed a face change.. Undrilled basically you either move and accept the face change at end of move, or change face and no move... Hope this helps!

Yep, I think TheGrayMouser is correct.

The online manual doesn't not seem to have been updated to reflect the 1.2.6 movement changes, but the part regarding LF and LH is, AFAIK, correct:
