15mm crusaders

I'm doing some Crusaders, and later, some Fatimids.
Today I did my first base of minis, a group of three crusader crossbowmen. I'm working on one of my commanders at the moment, and have him on barded horse with lance, flanked by a body guard. I still have to put a banner bearer on his other side, then he'll be done too. Anyway, here's some photos showing the crossbowmen, and incomplete commander, with some scenery. The little middle eastern dwelling is one of the 15mm buildings JR Miniatures sells.

Very nice minis!. Personally I would add a little black (either finepoint marker or 10/0 brush) on the shield (between the colours) and then between the wood and lance point. I feel this contrast brings details out a lot more.

Thanks for the advice! I don't have any brushes or fine pens of that size at the moment, but I think I'll go looking for one. I usually do 28mm minis, and I'm still getting used to trying to show details on things this small. I hadn't heard of using markers on minis - that's a great idea, and probably easier for doing lines than trying to use a brush!

Great painting! The metal colours look very natural.

By the way, the house reminds me some appartments I visited in Paris. 800 € for 15 m2!
