Slitherine

I can't figure out how to set up archers so they can pick up and place stakes using right click. I've tried using both medieval-MF-archer-c and medieval-MF-archer-c-stake but to no avail. Ideas?

According to the manual

To add or removes stakes from a battle group in the scenario editor first select a medium foot bowmen. Click the unit pressing the Ctrl key on the keyboard while clicking the unit with the right mouse.

I wonder if that works properly, though, because in the swiss vs burgundian scenario the latter have LB units with stakes which are always deployed and don't stop the units from moving...

Where is this manual? I can see a bunch of htm pages in the file directory, but no obvious link to them in the game.

I checked the online version of the manual (http://www.hexwar.com/field-of-glory/help/default.aspx), but there is an icon that looks like a book in the game ui which should open the manual (it doesn't work correctly for a few people unless alt+tab is also pressed)
