Looks like there is some actual competition out there, as Strider has finally dethroned me as the leading ace.

Congrats, but I'm not gonna just roll over there Bud!

Wow!

I haven't had time to mess with this for a bit, and now I see an impressive 340 shoot-down lead.

The title is yours, buddy...

Very gracious Spectre but I'll not count my chickens, I'm sure you'll be back. I am still in awe of your 25 fails in 168 missions.

Once they release the next add-on I think I'd better watch out :)

I just gave the game to my son to play so you are back at the top! :)

Well, it looks like he is a chip off the ol' block, as he has risen rather rapidly up to #4!

Yeah, he's only 10 as well!

Weird, he was flying the B-17 in a fighter mission and I asked him why. He said it had more guns and the tail gunner shot down planes on your tail.... then he went on to complete the mission with a medal!

I tried it later..... I got shot down after about 10 seconds

guess you need that childlike innocence and better reflexes. Guess since he does not know a B17 cant dog fight it never occurred to him that it might fail in that mission

Probably right! He like a challenge as well, so I think he thought he would try it out.

He's has dropped the game for the moment as he pursues the more land based war games.

So I am back. I left it on my PC and that means I kept my score as well.... Sorry Spectre_USA

I should say, I am going to buy the game for him as well (on his own account) so I don't lose it again.

What happened to you? New PC?

Hurry on back, my son has his own game now, you can see him at number 3!

Nope, started over, it seems, when I installed the RAF add-on.

Would have much preferred adding onto my old score, but it got flushed...

That's odd, my son used my account on his PC when I stopped playing and he built up a score. Then when he got his own account and game it kept his "Strider" score for him..

I also kept my "Strider" score when I went back to playing the game. Also neither of us lost our scores after installing the RAF add-on. Mine win7 32bit, his is win7 64bit.

Could it be something to do with your saved game location / version of windows?

Anyway hope Iain can do something about it, miss not seeing your name up there ace! :)

PS Iain, don't believe him if he says he shot down 5000 planes

It happened when I plunked the game on my 32 bit Win 7 install on an Acer netbook.

Then, when I added the RAF to my Win7 64 version on the gamer, it cleared all my prior scores.

I wondered why yours stayed up, had figured you'd stuck to the original.

Ah, well, I just got back into the top 10!

It sounds like I got lucky, as my son switched to his own account before I installed the RAF, which meant I only had my score on my own PC by then.

I'd say, at a guess, that it happens if your high score is linked to your notebook and you install RAF on the Gamer PC (not currently linked to the high score) and then run it. I think if you had run the Gamer PC before the install (to re-link it to your high score) and then run the RAF add on......

Here's an idea, have you tried going back to the notebook and running it from there? Does that bring back the score? I dunno, it may lose the lot again though, so maybe not a good idea.

Hey, play one more mission and you could make that 8th!
