I installed the GS mod 1.05 on top of Commander 1.12.1 version, but I can't get it to run no matter what. When I start the mod using the shortcut in the Programs menu, the command line window pops up and shuts down almost immediately and nothing happens. Normal game runs ok, apart from settings being broken somewhat (more on that in the Tech Support forum). I am running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, but Commander is set to Win XP SP3 compatibility mode, if this helps.

Any tips and help greatly appreciated, as I bought this game primarily for the mod and the multiplayer.

I had this same issue. couldnt get it working so I had to take a pass on it

Problem solved. For those who might('ve) run into the same issue, this is caused by the 1.12.1 patch from Slitherine which adds the extra dialog box for switching fullscreen and sounds on and off. So, if you want to play the GS Mod, <b>do not</b> install the 1.12.1 mini patch.
