EE

...........DD

.....AAAA

........BBCC

This happened today I thought it was strange B(Knights facing up and C Light Horse facing up have decalred a charge against A Fragged Cav/Crossbow in one line facing up as well both B and C four MU from A.
Unit D Light Horse Lancers facing left have declared a charge on BG E Light Horse with in 7 mu.
Unit A test for being charged while Fragged fail test rout throw up one ie 6 mu this places them 1/4 base in front of unit D thereby stopping charge by unit D but since declaring charge comes in front off moving routing troops do unit E have to evade even though the charge by D is blocked by A. Hammy called that they had to evade?

Since CMTing to evade or stand occurs before routing, the LH BG is already commited, so must evade. Less clear is whether a BG of Cav which does not have to CMT can wait until the "Make evade moves" to decide whether to evade. This does have some significance as due to intervening events as in your situation, a BG may no longer be a valid charge target. I believe the consensus is that all BGs that are declared targets must decide whether to evade immediately after all charges have been declared, whether a CMT is required or not.

The only strange thing I found its never happened before were an enemy routing unit goes that close to a unit of mine that has declared a charge on another enemy BG but now can't charge cause the routing unit has a part of the base in front . Its just strange but its the way its written down in the turn guide, Routs and then charges, just one of those things.

I believe you can still charge Dave. You will contact the routers tho. A careful 'Ruddockesque' wheel should force the routers into the path you desire towards your original target

Except that you can't change your charge path unless all targets have evaded out of it and the routers are now a target and haven't evaded out of the charge path.

Yes youd have to declare your wheel s up front.
