Hello to all,
im new to the game and i have been playing a few matches online but i have the feeling that sometimes i make a poor army list ( i normally play with 400-500 points) is there any information of the armies in the game so i can make a decent starter army.

It would be nice if Slitherine would make some starter default armies for these expansions

What army are you using?
In general it is usually advisable to have a good balance between heavies and lights....
Try to stay away from the "toys" elephants, super expensive cavalry unless you have a plan on using them
Experiance is likly to be the best teacher... Just play a lot of Mp matches and you will find you can get a lot of friendly advise using the chat function, players will have no problem pointing out if your army is woefully unbalanced etc.

Lupus has already converted all the RoR TT starter armies. You can find them here:
http://slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16066
He also converted some of the SoA starter armies:

(BTW, IIRC during the SoA beta the Hexwar/Slitherine guys said they have plans to include all the starter armies in a future patch)
You can also take a look at the army lists & tips at Madaxeman's FoG wiki:

As for the previous advice to stay away from the "toys" such as elephants etc. As always victorious isn't my criteria for playing but fun I love using the "toys" so my advice is to determine if victory is what you really wnat above everything or a high degree of entertainment and determine your army from there. Also it is fun to just create armies for the sake of seeing what you can do with unusual set-ups. Then again that is just me and you have to be you.

He he, I wasnt saying dont take the toys, just if you do know what your going to do with them ist! They can be expensive cannon fodder if misused
I love that you can get 3 pachiderms in the cartho list. Having them spearhead a corp of spanish cavalry and mediums is a lot of fun!

Well im having a blast even when im utterly defeated i really like the game and testing the armies its really fun.
When i get a little more experience i will try to join a campaing its seems like its worth joining one.
PD: i already used the expensive toys even the cannon that its not useful at all unless you hold ground.

cannons can be ok, just dont rely on them.
If you want to jump into a campaign, the Lost World is an open campaign that you can join at anytime. It's all out blitzkrieg at present so if you want to grab an army and see how it does that is a good way to go too.
