A couple of questions about routing

Hello all
1. Broken troops rout at the end of the impact/melee phase. If there are several broken BGs of both sides to move, how is the order in which they move decided? Is it the phasing player i.e. the player who's bound it is? Is it mentioned any where in the rules because I couldn't find any thing?
2.Page 100, bottom right, last bullet point:....if it's path is obstructed by unbroken enemy that cannot be bypassed, the BG is destroyed at the end of the phase.
Am I correct in thinking that broken BGs can move through enemy broken BGs if there isn't any other way for them to go?

Thanks in advance for any replies

1 if its that big of a deal you could go with the fastest first, never really run into a situation where order of routs was of a concern, but I suppose it could happen.

2 Once again not sure how you could run into such a situation but I would think they would still have to avoid each other.

Routers move towards their own table edge, so not sure how often you would run into any of those situations you asked about

well i think that it means that they get captured so if broken troops meet broken troops just let them go through each other as if there were not an obstacle. everybody simply contnues to run

Thanks for pointing to"another unusual case" thread Rekila, it did clear a couple of things up.

Dave.r said "The person whose bound it is decides who routs first". That's what I wanted to know mainly - but is that an opinion or is it in the rules somewhere?

That's what we did when we had a similar situation recently. Three BGs broke in the same phase(enemy & friendly) and at the end of the phase it did depend on which one moved first(along with pursuers) to determine whether they survived. This situation was caused by BGs charging at an angle and after conforming ending up at right angles to the long table edge. It was the enemy bound so he decided the order of the rout, which seems reasonable to me.But we couldn't find anything in the rules to confirm.

So does a rule exist for this? Just curious - not being critical

cheers

Page 106, refering to the Joint Action Phase, is the relavent rule. "The order rarely matters, but the active player moves his troops first, or decides the sequence of events, should either side feel this is necessary." This statement has been applied to all cases where multiple BGs must rout/pursue.
