Hello,

I purchased FoG and SoA from Matrix. I installed FoG, then patched to 1.1.2, then 1.2.5, installed SoA, then 1.2.6. I just tried multiplayer for the first time and get a message "Sorry, could not parse response (version string)"...everytime. The game states it is running 1.2.6 and all other functions work fine. Is this a local firewall/router issue, install issue, or a slitherine issue? If it is a router/firewall issue can I get the server IP/port, etc. to add an exception...

I cannot figure out how to search these forums for some reason...it must be here somewhere and I am just missing it...

Kind Regards,

Harry

Same problem here. I've purchased FoG from Matrix, RoR from Slitherine, I'm running Version 1.26 (patch downloaded from Slitherine) without any other noticed problem with the exception of the multiplayer access.

Just for the sake of a complete info, I've tried also to download and install the 1.26 patch from Matrix: everything runs with the exception of MP (same error message).

Hmmm - that's a strange error. I don't think it's likely to be a firewall issue as it seems to suggest that the response is being recieved.

This will have to be one for the guys on Monday I think - sorry for the inconvenience.

Cheers

Pip

Thanks for the fast answer. The problem is solved for me now: just tried to register my FoG Matrix Serial Number into the Slitherine web site (http://www.slitherine.com/register_serial.php) with my Slitherine account. everything is working fine.
