Is this right? 15/0710 as a release date? Have pity on us and make it sooner please!
Actually I would have thought most of the images for this are already available so it should have been a quick one to do.

I actually hope that the release date for Immortal Fire is pushed back just a little bit so they have pity on my wallet. Plus, I think it would be beneficial to let the existing releases marinate a bit before pushing another release -- just so that a few more kinks are worked out.
Just my thoughts at least.

Hmm, that does seem kind of far off considering the huge changes have already been made in 1.25 and SOR..... Maybe the issue is patch compatabilty and working out the kinks w the 2 publishers?
I'm actually not as excited for IF as for SOA, but maybe because I dont know enough about Lydian and Bactian armies to view them as any differnt than what is already availabe in the editor.....Now the next one after IF, oh yeah, Byzantines, Mamelukes and Mongol hordes, cant go wrong w that!

I think a breathing space between lists is in everyone's interests. It allows issues to be dealt with, and I suspect optimises sales as people become eager for the next one. Bang 'em out at the rate of once a month and people will begin to feel it in their wallets and/or the novelty will wear off.
Delayed gratification is best.
Funnily enough I wanted Immortal Fire before SoA but I'm now not too fussed by it (I'll buy it more as a mark of appreciation for the work done so far). For some reason I like the medieval feel better, even though I'm a classicist.

I'm in the "take your time" camp too. Two and a half months is not very long. I prefer to wait for a polished product than somethng rushed out. Hopefully there will be a patch or two, maybe even a SOA scenario pack, in the meantime. I went ahead and purchased SOA, even though it is not an era I'm particularly interested in, just to have the complete series. Really looking forward to IF. I'm much more interested in pre-medieval warfare.

I'm a Classicist, too; specifically, the 5th-4th century BC. That means IF cannot come out soon enough! Still, I understand they need time to implement the new functions that they will no doubt be offering, such as campaign mode, saveable replays, and let's not forget about all the new terrain tiles they're surely painting up.

Okay, seems you guys are right, all good points made. Seems I will have to learn to be patient and simply make do with what I have now. Actually I did have an alterior motive for Immortal Fire being released quickly and that is Swords and Scimitars would be out sooner too.
Soon though (okay some months) I think all the kinks in the system will be sorted and then the army packages should be coming out thick and fast.
