Look can someone from slitherene please detail the exact patches and order to install.

I have FOG ROR and SOA ..

given 1.2.5 came out after rise of rome which goes first ..

This system is frankly ridiculous and you guys need to fix it.

I should add "from a clean install"

This is the fourth time I have tried to get this working - given no guidance - got to the end and even though installed SOA battle pack still shows as "coming soon" - getting real pissed off with this...

I had a few issues getting 1.2.5 working due to a beta install on my D drive. However, I just reinstalled to C in the following sequence:

• FoG
• Rise of Rome
• 1.03
• 1.1.0
• 1.1.1
• 1.1.2
• 1.2.5
• Storm of Arrows

If any of these were skipped, the 1.2.5 patch conflicted.

What happens to 1.01 and 1.02 - and ROR updates the FOG exe so how can it come second ? Jeez - what a mess ... and still notghing official.

Without wishing to speak for Slitherine, I think the issue has been maintaining a FoG.exe that is common to all, while only allowing content from the expansions to be available to those who have purchased them. I guess it's a learning curve for them too!

Or in my case - not allowing content to those who have purchased it ...

anyhow - thats irrelevant - they should have published some kind of guide as toexactly what should be done in what order ... thats just common sense ..

Now - is the SOA install 83 MB - downloaded from the link in the mail and this is the size - reason is having watched the SOA installer all it seems to do is install a file called SOA.dat into the Movies folder ?

Sorry for the confusion.

You need to install FoG 1.0 then patch to 1.10 if it is not already (you can tell the version number on the bottom left of the main menu) -> Rise of Rome -> v1.2.5 -> Storm of Arrows

No other patches are required.

If you had the Matrix version you may need to install the Matrix patch 1.2.5.

New users are now being sent 1.2.5 as a new purchase so it is only existing players who have this headache. It is a pain I know, but one of the reasons is this patch has been made more complex to allow future patches to be simpler.

In future all patches will be compatible between Matrix & Slitherine.

It is supposed to install the SOA.DAT file. Are you saying it did not work?

I think I made a big mistake, I bought Field of glory the basic game from Matrix games and bought the Rise of Rome from Slitherine. Now i have a message telling that the good version in not installed. I reinstalled the program completely but it doesn't work, I suppose I had to buy both version from Matrix. I hope that there is a solution otherwise I will have lost the money for the extension.
My Order number was Order Number: 9324879214.
I hope ther is a solution.

It will be fine if you install the patches in the correct order. Sorry for any confusion.

Unfortunately I did it but it doesn't work. looking at the patch order I did:
FOG 101
Fog patch 110 from Slitherine. If I look another post I can normaly install ROR 1.0 that I bought tonight now but it doesn't work telling me that it's not the good version number.
What can I do. reading the different post I see that it's not that simple.
Help me please.

Actually, I think you need to install patch 1.1.1 also or instead of 1.1.0.

At last it's working so for my part I had to install in that order:
FOG 101(Matrix)
Update 1.10(Sli)
Update 1.11.(Sli)
ROR (Sli).

It's working. Hop this will serve for other.
