Misunderstanding or Bug?

I fired up Tewsbury in SOA (did patch up to 1.25 ist)

Those mixed armed Kerns (have off spears and bows and are medium foot):

I moved them into range of the enemy and saw (due to the photon cone  ) that I was in the firing arc (please make this optional!)
Fired at target, nothing happened but the unit got the A for anarchy symbol... clicked on target again and it fired as normal....
Appears maybe some issue w the mixed armed troop types? end result is it takes two clicks to fire, not sure if the game is actually testing for something though....

edit; ok played some more appears the game checks for anarchy when you go to fire a bow! (at least w the undrilled mixed unit guys) hadnt moved unit, chose to fire at cavalry unit in range and instead of shooting anarchied and craged home!, very interesting...

Anarchy charges now seem to happen the first time you attempt to move/control units as opposed to happening all at once at the beginning of your turn. Any units you don't try to manuever or control will have anarchy checks occur at the end of your turn when you hit the end turn button.

that wasnt quite the case though, I selected the unit (didnt move) , hovered the cursor over the target to fire the missle weapon, when i clicked nothing happned but the A popped up on my unit, I then clicked on the target again and the bow would fire... appears the game checks for anarchy to fire a weapon (again only noticed w the mixed armed guys) Dont mind it, just dont like to have to quick twice to do one task!

If you do anything other than charge to contact with shock troops, they will test and if they fail will charge on their own. Does this answer the question?

I think that the issue is as follows:

Select kern. Shooting arc becomes visible.
Click on target to shoot. Anarchy 'A' appears but nothing else happens.
Click again on target. Kern anarchy charges.

The mechanism is essentially working, but you sometimes have to click twice on the target before the charge occurs. I've had this happen, also in the Tewkesbury scenario.

If you have a saved game where this can be repeated it would be useful to track down exactly what is happening.

Just play tewsbury for 2 turns and you will see!

I agree w Keyth the mechanism appear to be working ,that is if firing a missle requires a cmt test, the issue is again the 2 clicks clicks. You fire weopon, game pauses, A symbol pops up, must now click on target a second time to fire.. Not really a big deal but could be more ergonimic

Saved game to be sent to Keith?
