on page 112 on the right column on the 3rd - it says

"Only skirmishers need test if the broken friends are skirmishers"

Is that correct?

so skirmishers dont test if a cav or heavy or medium infantry break next to them?

any comments on why that is would be good, just curious mainly cuz it seems like the skirmishers would be more concerned if non skirmishers took off next to them.

????

No, that would be the case if the rule said "Skirmishers only need test if the broken friends are skirmishers"

Skirmishers test if any BG near them is broken.
Non skirmishers ignore breaking skirmishers.

I'm afraid you are reading it wrong.

Only skirmishers need test if the broken friends are skirmishers.

So:
- If skirmishers break only other skirmishers need to test.
- If non-skirmishers break then skirmishers and non-skirmishers need to test.
