How works the leader casualties??? i find it a little psss because i can kill 90% of leader unit and dont kill enemy or with a 100% leader unit do a rear attack to enemy and with the first 50 casualties loss the leader... what is the chance to kill or lose leaders in a melee??? ooo and is possible lose leader only by fire??? thanks.

Leader can only be killed in melee. It is a die roll think its a score of 10 or more if he loses or 12 if he wins so can happen at any time. Best thing is to keep the leader out of it unless you really feel the need to risk him. Normally his unit will do the best of any unit in your army but that is not always the case.

If it is like the tabletop game no test is made unless his BG suffers 2 hits or more from all sources in the fight.

I ask this because in a battle do a rear attack to an enemy cavalry unit with my mounted leader unit (at 100%) and after disrupt enemy loss 54 soldiers+leader with only 112 casualties in enemy unit... dont take a shoot of results table but find it "strange" because i never see an unit losing leader over 70% status and with a 5% casualties in a rear attack lose leader...

Dont use leaders in combat is interesting when you have troops for all jobs but in points battle with macedonian armies you cant have 1 calvary unit out of fight in your flanks and mounted troops needs a mounted leader and you can use leader as "fireman" extinguishes fires if dont use leader units in combat is the solution i prefer the system used in other games where leader is an independent "unit" that can move where you need it and needs friendly units protection
