Maurikian Byzantine

Funny how things change. In a recent post I wrote how byzantine armies seemed not very useful for my after buying D&F, and so I decided to start a Dailami/Ghaznavid army. But, it's been a long time since I started these armies and I'm still in process, and yesterday I read D&F again, and with some more games played, I found Maukians not that useless, In fact they seem to be a drilled version of islamic Def spear/lancer cav army. As I use to do on friday afternoons, I spent some minutes writing a list. And here it is. What do you think?
ยท3 TC.
1 Khazar allied TC
2 x 12 skutatoti (9 prot. def. spear + 3 LF archers)
2 x 4 Elite cav (1/2 sup lancers 1/2 sub bow)/sw
2 x 4 line cav (1/2 ave lancers 1/2 ave bow)
1x 4 detached horse archers (ave Armoured bow/sw)
1x 6 javelinmen (LF)
1x8 drilled MF archers
3x 4 allied turkish LH bw/Sw.
The key are the turkish LH. With the detached horse archers, should hold a flank skirmishing.
Skutoatoi in 12s to maximize the effect of a TC in combat. Archers may place between them or behind for rear support purposes.
Line and Elite cav. on the other flank, with an turkish LH and LF to protect them from enemy skirmishers.
Drilled condition make them able to fast redeploying (e.g. line cav. to the center to charge roman legions, spearmen on flanks to protect them from enemy mounted or so, with archers and skirmishers where needed.
