Loaded new patch 1.2.3. - All my multiplayer games have gone

The heading says it all. I had just finished a turn but an error message said it was not my turn. I logged out and logged on again only to find that my 4 or 5 multiplayer games had disappeared. Very frustrating (at least for the games where I was winning!)

Same here. I have just installed the new patch and all multiplayer games are lost. No opponent turns, no own turns, no results to be seen. There are also no challenges, but this may probably correct.

Normally upgrading to a new patch level will not delete existing games and there was nothing in the release notes for this patch to indicate differently.
Has anyone gotten an error from the server trying to play mutli-player with 1.2.2 as their latest patch since 1.2.3 was announced? I suspect this may just be an issue with the server upgrade being out of sync with the patch release but someone from Slitherine will have to answer that for certain.

If you are playing the SoA Beta then you will not be able to see any MP games other than against other Beta players as the Beta version users a different server. Could that be the problem? Keith

No! It were all SoA games vs other beta testers.

I hope this can be sorted today as a couple of battles were in final stages and very close? Any chance of them getting restored?

I too have had the same problem with the latest upgrade and was only playing one Beta game against TomBombadil.

Hmmm... Keith and Iain have gone very quiet. Hope they haven't deleted themselves too.

Well it is Saturday and very nice weather, I am sure their families might like a bit of time with them?

I suspect Keith doesn't have access to the Slitherine server. Iain might just be taking the weekend off

Personally I blame the volcano.

I have a feeling it may be a bug in the server....
We had another beta test update yesterday and we had to kill of old saved games in that one. It seems like the saved games have been killed for all beta games not just the selected one. It will be fixed next week and I'll see if anything can be recovered
I had 2 games myself going so its very frustrating.

I don't understand what you mean when you say you had to kill off old saved games for the beta test update yesterday. Did the 1.2.3 beta upgrade (I assume that is the beta patch from yesterday) require eliminating all the pre-1.2.3 games? If so, it should at least have been mentioned in the release notes. Or was there some beta patch that just affected the server and did not involve anything sent out to beta testers? Feeling very puzzled at this point.

He means a bug in our admin software. We needed to remove all the games for a different game, and we think it may have actually removed all the beta games for all games.
Sorry for the inconvenience - we'll get it fixed so it doesn't happen again.
Cheers

Hi Pip does that mean the games are lost? Just let us know either way as we can re-start games? But I don't want to re-start if you will restore the lost games?

I'll guess we won't know until Monday whether we can get them back.

Thanks for the explanation. A bit clearer than Iain's was to me.
