Hi guys

we have fixed a potential cause of this and will be updating the server later today., For this of you who have the issue we think we can restore your games to a previous turn so they can be continued. To do this we need the username of both sides in the game and the date of the last turn update. Please post that info here if you want to restore your games.

I don't know if the early March games are recoverable, but here it is:

Epicouros vs deeter, Mar 7, 2010, 2:01

My more recent problems are over now, I hope they don't return ;-)

The game against 76mm has left my area, and is in the waiting for opponent area, but now does not show an opponent name. Not sure if this was just a random thing, or if efforts were made to save it.

Hi Scar,

Can you check the game now? It should be fixed and you should be able to see your opponents name.

Hi Scar and Epicouros,
unfortunately, the games from March 7 are too old and the backup system is not working for them. Sorry for this guys :(

That's ok, I didn't really count on it.

As long as the problem doesn't pop up again, I'm happy :-)

I just played a turn against scar...it generally worked but some of the units couldn't move right (ie, couldn't move straight ahead). Sent back to him, hopefully will work ok.

If our game can't be restored, will you get rid of it?

Thanks for the effort. It fixed one of them. Will the other be deleted at some point?

We'll kill off any games without a turn update in March. Hopefully this wont spoil any live games as it means no turn updates for over 3 weeks!
I also wonder about this. Curiously enough my stalled games are from March 7 too.

Hi,

the problem has been occured for the following games:

Scenario: Agricola moves North AD79
Opponent: Bermudadreieck

and

Scenario: Orchonenus 86BC
Opponent: Bermudadreieck

Can you fix this games too? :)

Thank you.

edit:
Hi Again,

it's not necessary to fix the games. We will start again and hope that the bugged games will be vanished sometimes :)
But currently every started game seems to be bugged ...

I played my turn. Ended turn. When it came back, I'm at the same turn. If I close the game, I get "game saved' msg but if I start it up again, I'm back at the beginning of the same turn. It seems unable to save the new versions or somehing.

Definitely ... play the turn and send it, it comes back same as before.

I wonder what the other side sees/plays???

same thing in two of three games. In the third game, the game ended after my turn because the opponent went over his break points
