Talking Of Names

Points of Advantage. The term is a bit of a mouthful - especially as you need to say it for veritually every combat at least twice and "poa" is not easy to pronounce and sounds like something you do to clear your throat. How about calling Points of Advantage "Edges" instead?

I think we are all up for any suggestions for the best words and terms for both the name as a whole and the game in total....all entries gratefully received.

FWIW on POAs I find myself saying I have a + or a ++ more than mentioning POAs.

Ok, so something like:

"So 8 dice each. What Points of Advantage are there?"
"Well I have lances so that a plus."
"Right, and your knights are mounted versus medium foot, so that is another plus.".
"That makes a couple of pluses."

In which case they should be called "pluses" and not Points of Advantage. ;-)

"So 8 dice each. What Edges are there?"
"Well I have lances so that an Edge."
"Right, and your knights are mounted versus medium foot, so that is another Edge.".
"That makes a couple of Edges."

Points of Advantage are really engrained now in the system and I am not really that fussed - it is after all a small point.

I am rather attached to POAs I must say. As you say a small point.
