I have just started a game with like-the-fish - Papal Condottieri v HYW English. On turn 1 I dismounted about half my cavalry, posted them along a river bank. When turn 2 started, all dismounted troops had become mounted and are now stuck that way for remainder of game. Troops who were mounted stayed as they were.

Maybe l-t-f can confirm whether or not all my troops were mounted when he received my turn 1

When is dismounting allowed?

Out of curiosity, when is it intended that dismounting should be lega in FoG PC? In the TT rules, troops that can dismount may either be deployed dismounted when initially placed or after deployment is finished but before any moves are made as a reaction to the troops then visible on the table. Are there intended to be any similar restrictions in FoG PC or may dismountable troops dismount at any time?

If it wouldn't be too complicated, it would be nice to allow a player to also dismount at the start of their first (post deployment) turn once they see what they are facing. It would need to be done before they move the BG that they want to dismount.
