Ian asked that anyone who did not receive the Beta email should post to this forum. Thought I'd start a thread for that.

I pre-ordered on March 9th, and did not receive the Beta email. Nothing in my spam filter either.

Can you also post who your mail is with e.g. @slitherine.co.uk. No need for the full address. Maybe there will be a patern in who is not receiving them.

I havent received a Beta e-mail either - my address is at dial.pipex.com and I pre ordered on March 10th

Where do you download from ?

The link is in your mail with your serial number. Unless you can recieve the mail you wont be able to play the beta

But Iain you MUST be able to generate a new one if one hasnt got to its recipient through no fault of their own ? Having to wait for a new beta test is hardly fair to any customer who doesnt get the first e-mail - suppose it was the ACTUAL final version do we then have to wait until a patch is released - surely not ? Can Slitherine certify categorically that it was DEFINETELY sent to me - and if so then surely the original serial number must also be available ? If not then surely a new one can be issued as a new process ?

I did not receive an email about the beta version ofSOA so I dug up my order confirmation email and followed the link "Where is my order" and the order was found.

I also pre-ordered on March 30. No email and nothing in junk folder. Checked my order status via Digital River and it was all ok.

Have not received e-mail. No block of Slitherine E-mail. Checked to see if order confirmed with Digital River and it was confirmed on March 12, 2010. E-mail ends @aol.com

No mail here either, my email ends @aol.com. I checked the order I placed on 15 March with DR and it has SoA on order.

Thanks .... Beta E-mail arrived and for what it's worth Beta works fine on my netbook.

If you are using a net book try going to the video settings (right mouse on the screen) and use the advanced options to go to OpenGL and set the driver size as large. It helps on any PC using shared video RAM. Keith

I think you misread me. The Beta works very well on a netbook, there is no problem at all. Just information for other netbook owners that may have shied away.

Got the 1.2.0 after posting the missing e-mail in the forum but now how do I get the update 1.2.1. Have not received an e-mail on that one.

still nothing for me. Ah well. I just hope I get the release email with my pre-order download link, when the time comes.

Followed advice in another tread to change the link from 1.2.0 to 1.2.1 on the original beta e-mail and that wokred. Thank you mysterious stranger.
