Hi, on starting the game, I can pick the A1 army from the drop down list, also the terrain, yet have no lists of human armies showing no matter what I do, also are there any historical games laid out. at a total lost end here. michael

Can you explain exactly which screen you are looking at?
Do you have RoR installed? There is a known bug on teh mail we sent out that anyone without Rise of Rome will nto be abler to play the beta until the next release.

I believe that terry1956 is talking about the screen where DAG battles are configured. Thus, he has selected the terrain and the AI army but sees an empty list of DAG armies because he has not generated any!
IMHO, it could be a good idea to include with the game some pre-configured armies, perhaps the starter armies from the TT army lists. In the scenario design forum, Lupus has already posted some for RoR, and I hope SoA armies will follow soon

Its a nice idea. Probably we only want half a dozen for each book.

The intention is to add all the starter armies in all the books to the DAG as a default install but these will not be in the initial SoA release.

Hi, looks like the fault is that I don,t have the RoR, and that sometime there will be a fix, told it will be this week, but realy have no idea. Why link the two together this way in the first place ??
will this fix be a patch, or will I need to redownload the lot again,

They are not linked - it is a bug. That is why we do beta tests to find these things

If you write the machine code to read taht you need RoR to be able to play other games then it is a link, A bug is that the reason is something else.
please let me know when the BUG will be fixed, terry

The intention is to add all the starter armies in all the books to the DAG as a default install but these will not be in the initial SoA release.
Will you please then add a 'delete army' button to the DAG menu. It is extremely tedious to have to delete armies from MyDocuments and to have to delete over a dozen starter armies I don't want will be doubly so.
I don't mind you adding them as a default (though I'd rather they were a separate free download for those who want them) if you make them easy to remove.
where to look

I have been told (look above) that there is a fix download for unlinking RoR from the renaissance game, looked under downloads and found nothing new there, In what place is this fix, terry

In the email sent to all beta testers. This is the only way to get a beta update.
