More questions on outflanking marches

When the march arrives it is placed "anywhere on that flank's side table edge. All battle groups must be in command range of thier commander at the end of their first move on to the table" (FoG rules, pg.145)

Does this mean the model are placed with their back edge in contact with the board edge? or do they make a move, using the board edge as their starting point?

Also "battle groups within 6 MUs of the point of arrival of enemy flankers obey the followinbg rules" (FoG rules, pg. 145)

Is this measured from the point on the board edge where they arrive, or the point where they end up?

Thanks
Sam

1. Measure from the side edge ie Cavalry move 5 Mu from side edge.

2. Measure from the side edge were they come on not were they end up.
