Hi guys

we are struggling to keep up with the number of posts in the FoG PC forum. Its taking so much time it is holding up development so we cant get you bug fixes and new features as quickly as we woudl like. What we really need is a few volunteers to help moderate the FoG forums.

We'd need people who are very familiar with the PC game. Ideally at least one would be technically savy and able to give basic assistance to people such as suggesting they update drivers for graphics cards, or whatever it might be, though its not essential. Giving the first pass tech support would really save us a huge amount of time. If there are any issues the modertor does not know the answer to they ask us and we'll give them the official answer.

The moderators would respond to posts from other users to explain the game mechanics and if they did not know they would ask us. We'd give the official answer and the moderator can use that if the question is asked again.

I think 2-3 moderators would be the ideal number. If this is something you are interested in then please let me know by mail at info@slitherine.co.uk.

I would volunteer but I'm afraid I may have ruffled a few feathers already with my opinions, other than that I would have loved to as I love the TT and PC game.

As a suggestion to the new moderators - what about creating a FAQ?

It would be very useful to have a post with answers to the most usual questions about game mechanics, like dice re-rolls and effect of the number of soldiers in the BGs. Other topics, like how to install an scenario or what to do with a crash log, could also be covered.

It would be great if the moderators could do that. Once they're all appointed and I've had a chat with them we'll introduce you to them
