Nooooo! Game freezes on turn before I take London!

I think the game doesn't want me to win. I've played this game for days and was closing in on London, most likely going to take it on the next turn. When I hit next turn, the game goes to the lease lending convoy phase and after that freezes and does the same on reload. I'm running windows 7 and CEAW gold. Please help really want to finish this game. I should add that I'm playing plain vanilla.
