I had a great time at Cold Wars this year. This, despite the fact I had to miss the third round because my house was flooding. Luckily, my partner, Matt Iverson, managed to find a replacement for me, and between the three of us we managed a second place finish.

Nice report Matt. Very MadAxeMan like. As Matt's replacement on Mr. The King's team (you guys hold him in more awe than we do.) :-) I have to admit it was a pretty good list. Unfortunately, I think we ended 2 points shy of breaking Marc and Eric's team which would have given Matt and you the championship. Unusually, as I think you indicated, Matt had some uncharacteristically bad luck. In our game, one of his Superior lancer BG's got shot demoralized and then shot fragmented just as it was heading to charge the flank of a enemy BG in frontal contact with an Arsiyah BG. Matt did manage to extricate if from danger and boost it back but it cost time we didn't have to finish them off. Also, I probably should have made a more concerted effort to get to the enemy camp but there was unit of enemy HF there so probably couldn't have got it anyway. All in all a good game, well played on both sides. Hope you basement dried out OK.

Paul,

Thanks for stepping in for me.

Round Two vs Ethan Zorick and Dan Hazelwood (1st Place) was extremely hard fought. I think we won 10.4 to 9.6. A few more points there and we would have taken the title. It was a great fight. If I have time I'll post a battle report for it.

Imitation is flattery.... and I am definitely imitating MadAxeman. He is the battle report Master.
