Found a bug in GS

Ok multiplayer game. Me axis. I tried to attack an enemy transport with my sub. There were a bunch of Battleships and other ships around. My sub bounced (he had a sub where I tried to go). My sub ended up next to 2 British Battleships and one german Battleship and the transport. The only ship that had a circle indicating I could attack was the German Battleship. I could not attack the British battleship, or the transport even though I was next to them.
Suprized at this, I clicked on my battleship, just to see if my sub would really attack it. It did, causing damage to my battleship and my sub.
Anyone had this happen?

This is a known "feature" not really a bug. Our advice is to not attack your own ships. If you do, then consider this as "friendly fire".

ok, thanx. I can't see how this would actually be a planned "feature", most likely it is a bug that is just accounted for.

Friendly fire? HMS Sheffield rides again: Excellent!
Whilst on the subject of possible bugs/glitches, I observed something strange in a recent PBEM game:
Norway is under Allied control and Sweden is under Axis control with both sides fighting for the control of Sweden. The Allies (me in this case) have a StratAir unit in Norway, which tried to bomb the iron mine in northern Sweden. The hex was not garrisioned but instead of the anticipated bombing result, the StratAir unit relocated to the mine hex and it became allied controlled?
Perhaps the StratAir unit contained glider borne units ala Arnhem?
Kind regards

Air units can capture hexes that have supply level of 2 or less, e. g. Greek islands. I guess the mine hex has supply less than 3 since it has no connection to a city.
Sweden is neutral, but the hex is German controlled so the Allies would think it can be invadeable. I will playtest this and find a bug fix if it's actually a bug.

I reviewed this and you can't take the iron ore hex as long as Sweden is neutral. The ore hex has a supply level of 0. If the Allies DoW Sweden then the supply level will still be 0. Supply is updated at the end of the turn. So for that turn only you're able to fly in an airplane to capture the airbase. At the start of next turn the ore hex will get supply from a Swedish city and can't be captured.
So how likely is it that the Allies can invade Sweden? Usually they would have land units near Trondheim to move in a take the ore hex. If a bomber takes the ore hex the way I described it will be attacked by Swedish units very soon and maybe eliminated. So it's maybe not smart to do.
This could be fixed, but since it occurs very rarely and create a situation for a turn or two I don't think we need to fix it. Trying to fix it can introduce new bugs and that's not good either.

Thanks for the response.
Absolutely no point in possibly creating more problems by trying to fix a rare one: it just came as a complete surprise to me when it occurred.
The Allies (my brave lads) had captured Norway in a pre-emptive offensive and I thought that it might be interesting to open up the Baltic by capturing Sweden. Whilst it was a failure, I am pleased to report that my PBEM oppoent has yet to detect that I still own the mine.
Kind regards.

Perhaps it might be possible to amend this supply value anomaly (I speak here from a point of 100% programming ignorance) if/when the map enlargement transpires?
Kind Regards.
