inconsistency in Help documentation.

The explanation of the Combat Mechanism at one point gives a formula stating that a fragmented unit gets 2\3 of its attacks.
Elsewhere it's stated that it gets 25% of its attacks (that is correct I think)
Just a suggestion for cleaning it up.

The actual calculation should be that a disrupted/disordered unit gets 2/3 of its attacks and that a fragmented/very disorderd unit gets 1/2 of its attacks. Both of these numbers should round up any fractions.

That's not what I have - fragmented or severely disordered 1/3rd but disrupted or disordered 1/2

Disrupted/disordered lose 1/3 of their attacks, fragmented/severly disordered lose 1/2 just to clarify.

Sorry Chris but that's not what I have in the 'manual' off the PC version

The PC online manual says:
Modify the number of attacks for battle groups current cohesion level
* Fragmented or very disordered, quantity attacks = attacks x 2 / 3
* OR
* Disrupted or disordered, quantity attacks = attacks x 1 / 2
but probably it should say:
Modify the number of attacks for battle groups current cohesion level
* Disrupted or disordered, quantity attacks = attacks x 2 / 3
* OR
* Fragmented or very disordered, quantity attacks = attacks x 1 / 2

I think the basic problem is that the explanation isn't well written. I had to read this several times before I understood it.
The formula gives you the amount to modify the attack by, not the actual result.
So, for Fragmented or Very Disordered, you modify the attack by 2/3 thus leaving you 1/3, i.e. you get 1/3 of the attack.
For Disrupted or Disordered you modify by 1/2 of the attack, thus leaving 1/2. i.e. you get 1/2 of the attack.
So the overall effect of this is that;
Steady = Full attack
Disrupted/Disordered = One Half Attack
Fragmented/Very Disordered = One Third Attack
Which is in line with diminishing returns for reduced cohesion.
But like I said. the wording is not good and it is easy to misunderstand.

It doesn't sound right.
4 attacks x 2/3 = 4 x .66>>> = 2.64 attacks for fragmented
4 attacks x 1/2 = 4 x .5>>> = 2 attacks for disrupted
Shouldn't these be reversed?

Blathergut: See my post immediately above your last post - I suspect we were writing at the same time.

Yes they should.
I haven't played the TT game, but I borrowed the rulebook from a friend and I read in there:
Disrupted or Disordered: Lose one dice per 3
Fragmented or Severely Disordered: Lose one dice per 2
So the equivalent in the PC rules should be
Disrupted or Disordered: quantity attacks = attacks x 2/3
Fragmented or very disordered: quantity attacks = attacks x 1/2

That's what does happen (see my post 3 above) - it's just badly written in the rules!

The on line Help was incorrect at one point and I pointed this out to Keith I haven't verified that it has been updated (or that the PDF version of the On Line help has been regenerated since 1.1.1 was released). I do know that the ranges for casualty percentages per number of hist received was updated in the help to reflect that a loser in combat has a higher range of casulaty percentages than a non-loser or that is suffered from missile fire.

Will check, review and update the documentation for 1.1.3, thanks Keith

We started 113 as soon as we built 112 and put it into testing. So any and everything reported since then becomes parts of 113. Unless there is a major issue found then 113 will be release at the same time as
A Storm of Arrows
