Training info is missing

The information about the training of the troops is missing in my PC. Instead of the words "Drilled" of "Undrilled", the character "#" is shown.
Here is a screenshot I've taken:

Is this normal or some kind of a bug?
Can I fix this?

1) Where did you get your copy of Field of Glory from, there are different editions and it will help us trace it.
2) Which army did you select, I could do with the specific name as there are multiple roman lists.
3) Have you ever edited any of the FOG files manually?

Thanks
Keith

1) I bought a digital copy of Field of Glory and Rise of Rome from the Slitherine Shop (http://www.slitherine.com/shop) last week.
I've also installed the patch v1.1.1, which I also downloaded from www.slitherine.com
2) I happens with every army I've tested, Macedonians, Pyrrhic, Early and Late Romans, Judeans, Carthaginians etc
3) I've never edited any files.

Thanks for the help.

Please can we have a little more info:

Thanks

I've tested it and have the same problem on Windows 7 (desktop) and on Windows XP (netbook), both installed with English language.

I've also installed the Greek Keyboard Support in both, if that makes any difference.

Hi,

Try either of these things, bbut not at the same time to see which may or may not help.

1) Set the keyboard to English (this is the main language driver in Windows 7 by default)

2) Set your locale to England (not really a satisfactory solution even if it does work!)

You can access these via the control panel and then
Region and language
.

We have now fixed this ready for 1.1.3. The fix for this shoudl fix most issues with non-english editions of windows and/or keyboards. Keith

Thank you very much for your efforts.
Your suggested "quick fixes" didn't work, but I'll wait for the 1.1.3 patch.

I'm a software developer in real life, so I fully understand what it means to support your users the way you guys do.
I really appreciate it.

Thanks for the comments. As I think you are in Greece will you be at the IWF event in Athens in April http://www.strategikon.com/iwc2010/program.htm? I will be there, playing 15mm but with FOG PC in tow. Keith

I've never played the tabletop version of FoG (or any other wargame actually), but now that I have seen the PC version I've got interested about the tabletop game too. I live in Athens, so I might drop by on the weekend of the IWF, if spectators are allowed.

Spectators are definately allowed. Hopefully I will see you there. I'll be the only one daft enough to be using Hellenistic Greek! Keith

I've installed version 1.2.5 and Storm of Arrows, but the problem isn't fixed.
I thought that it would be one of the issues addressed with this patch.
