Maybe I'm just a dummy, but I've had this happen several times now, so I have to ask:

I accept an MP DAG challenge and select an army, but when the game starts I find that I'm fighting with a different army than what I meant to select!?

I assume that I'm doing something wrong with the interface, but not sure what, and it's getting a little frustrating. Anyone else have this problem, or just me??

It has happened to me a couple of times when I've started a battle against the AI just to have a look at my newly constructed army.
Never in a multiplayer game for some reason. Can't figure out why it happens.

Sorry but at the moment we are unable to replicate this problem.

Happened to me once..but...ahem...I was the dummy who clicked on the wrong army!! Haven't seen this actually happen, but have a week's holidays so hope to get a pile of games in. Will let you know if I do see it happen.

I suspect that this is what's happening, but now that it's happened several (3-4) times, I wanted to check if I'm the only dummy...and I'm usually not that dumb, although... In any event, I'll have to start playing closer attention and "look it into the glove" so to speak.

At first I thought I've had clicked the wrong army but then it happened again when I'm pretty sure I didn't make a mistake.
Not a 100% sure, I'll have to admitt...

It hasn't happened to me yet, but then when I issue a challenge I always state what army I'm using. Seems more sporting that wya.

OK, I'm not crazy, I just replicated this, here is what happened:
--I accepted a challenge;
--When the army selection box came up, I always reorder them by name by clicking on the name column (I've named the armies by points first).
--I selected an 800 pt Macedonian army
--while the Macedonian army was selected in the left column, the right column displayed the description of the Pontic army.
--I clicked again the on Macedonian army to select it again, and the Pontic army was selected.

This explains why most of my DAG battles have been with the Pontic army--I try to select others and end up with it.

Please fix!

If you go into DAG and load that army, to edit it, what comes up?

Maybe you should try without reordering first. I don't have than many armies made up, so I just click on the one I want.

I imagine the problem is the re-ordering. We'll check it out thanks!

A bit more info for you; I've replicated this in a DAG game vs the AI as well. It is really rather strange...

When I go into the DAG and load armies, all of them are correct. In other words, if I click on my 800 pt macedonian army, I get the macedonians. click on the Seleucids, I get the Selecids. All is good.

But if leave the DAG and open a new game with DAG armies, it gets very weird if I reorder the armies: when I select Pontic in the left column, the right column describes the Seleucids, and when the game opens I get seleucids. When I click on the Seleucids, the Attalids appear in the right colum, and the Attalids appear when I open the game. Of my five 800 pt armies, three of them are screwed up in this manner. As Deeter suggests, the problem does not seem to arise when I do not reorder the armies before selecting them.

Pls check and see if you can replicate...

devs, could you replicate this? Is this somewhere on the "to be fixed" list?
