If I have superior or average units up front (be they HF impact or pikes or whatever):
do they still get the +1 Cohesion test mod if there is a poor unit directly behind them?
In the TT version, you have to be same or better quality.

Any grade troop can provide it in the PC version. Except routers no longer provide support as of the latest patch I believe.

Do light troops (javelin-men, archers, etc) provide rear support too?
PS: This is my first post to the forum, so hello everybody!

I would be tempted to use cheap poor troops to support my main line. The problem with that, however, is that if your main line nevertheless breaks, the supports will die too in short order, thus bringing your army down all the sooner.

Ya, that's the idea: Cretan javelins or whatever they are, at 4pts each...or better, Jewish guerillas at I think 2pts!!
I know...if the line goes...but then...when it does, even good stuff behind tends to go when it's routed through, so thought I'd try it.
I like it when there's an edge of potential disaster.
