Dice Lost for Disorder: By BG or entire combat??

Oh, this olde brain seems to lose more cells each day!!!

Example:

Two 4pak BGs of HF (impact or spears), both in column, in rough going. If both hit one enemy BG in the rough, do:

a) they fight with 2 dice each (4 total) since neither can lose 1-per-3 for disorder

or

b) they fight with 3 dice total, one of them having to lose a die because of the disorder effect.

Thanks for the help!

The dice count per BG so neither BG would lose dice...............in my opinion.

That's what I think too. But sometimes I like to confirm.

Thanks for the reply. (Let's see if there are any differing onions!)

For close combat you count the dice (and lost dice) for each BG independently, so in these circumstances neither would lose a die. The bullets on P94 are not applicable to this situation as each front base can only be fighting against one enemy and therefore cannot have multiple POAs.
